Summary
Utilizing a team approach, this position is responsible leading, planning, directing, and coordinating the various operations departments of a warehouse facility. Duties include ensuring and improving the safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and positive employee relations using the principles of TPS, and other strategies outlined by the Company and Operation Manager directives. The Assistant Manager will lead a team in order to carry out the organizations mission.
What You'll Do
  • Monitor daily safety, quality, productivity, and Employee Relations of the facility utilizing FMDS.
  • Ensure customers' needs are/have been met (follow up).
  • Maintain a good working relationship with subordinates and act as a positive role model for them and their employees. Promote a team-like atmosphere.
  • Develop/oversee improvement initiatives for the operations using principles of Kaizen.
  • Establish and modify procedures and workflows using the Toyota Production System Methods.
  • Control of Warehouse budget and staff working hours. Assist with budget and monthly report preparation.
  • Assist in developing and implementing training programs. Development of staff. Develop backup staff to support your day-to-day activities when absent.
  • Complete all assignments by the deadline except under unusual circumstances, in which CoC must be notified in a timely manner (Stop Call Wait).
  • Ensure KPI's are met for the facility.
  • Promote and lead 5s within the organization.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

What You Need
High School Diploma or GED, with 6-9 years' experience in warehouse environment with leadership and supervision responsibilities.
Shift Time
1st Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Special Note: Training will take in Liberty, NC location.
