Clinical Toxicology Sales Executive – San Diego (Job Ref: 26I/CSSD)

We have exciting new career opportunities for a Clinical Toxicology Sales Executive based in San Diego, California.

Location: Hybrid. Based in San Diego (area), with regular travel required throughout California and neighbouring states.

Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday from 08.30 to 17.00.

Salary: $80k-$100k base salary depending on experience + $600 per month Car Allowance + variable

What does the Sales Executive role involve?

The Clinical Toxicology Sales Executive will be responsible for the promotion and commercial development of Randox's toxicology portfolio, with a strong focus on clinical adoption in anticipation of FDA clearance. This role combines new business development with account expansion, targeting clinical, reference, and hospital laboratories, as well as relevant healthcare stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve agreed sales targets within a defined geographic territory and product portfolio, operating within established commercial and compliance guidelines.
  • Drive market development and adoption of the Randox Evidence MultiStat analyser and toxicology consumables, supporting customers.
  • Develop strong relationships with clinical laboratories, laboratory directors, toxicology managers, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high level of product, clinical, and competitive knowledge, including an understanding of FDA‑regulated diagnostic pathways.
  • Use the Randox CRM system daily to manage pipeline activity, customer interactions, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on sales activities, customer feedback, market intelligence, and competitive dynamics. Maintain an effective level of customer‑facing activity, including in‑person and virtual meetings, product demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of sales campaigns, product launches, and market entry strategies, particularly related to FDA‑cleared offerings.
  • Plan, organise, and attend scientific meetings, conferences, seminars, and exhibitions to support brand presence and lead generation.
  • Attend internal and external product, clinical, and sales training to ensure ongoing competence and regulatory awareness.

This role would suit someone with previous sales experience within the clinical or toxicology sectors. Someone who is currently working in a biology environment with a strong desire to join a growing sales team, who possesses excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Essential criteria
  • Bachelor's degree in a Biomedical, Clinical, or Business‑related discipline.
  • Valid and clean U.S. driving licence with access to a vehicle.
  • Legal right to work in the United States.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage a territory independently and travel regularly.
Desirable
  • Previous B2B sales experience, ideally within clinical diagnostics, toxicology, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical markets. Experience working with or selling into clinical laboratories and/or healthcare systems.
  • Familiarity with FDA‑regulated products or diagnostics launch environments.
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
