Job Description

SurePods, a part of the DPR family of Companies, is looking for a skilled and efficient Tile Setter to be a part of our Tile team at Orlando, FL. This role will help to fulfill our tiling requirements. The ideal candidate should have complete knowledge of the various types of tiles available in the market and the different installation techniques used, as well as being responsible for maintaining an appropriate project completion timeline based on our schedule. Effective time management and multitasking skills are also essential. Besides installing tiles this role will also clean the area pre and post-installation. To qualify for this job role, you must have good physical fitness and possess the willingness to work under tight deadlines.


Duties & Responsibilities:
Cutting and shaping tiles using hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret drawings accurately to align and position tiles correctly.
Ensuring that the tiles are positioned evenly.
Ensuring that tiles are properly back-buttered with thin-set.
Cleaning and preparing titling surface.
Ensures no tile breakage or any other damage during installation.
Measuring and marking the surface precisely before beginning work.
Cleaning the tiling area and tools after installation.
Undertaking post-installation checks.
Collaborate with your colleagues to achieve the daily objectives effectively and
efficiently.
Taking precautions and creating a safe working environment is essential.
Coordinate with the Quality team to correct any defects in a timely manner.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Proven work experience in the Construction industry.
Familiarity with power and hand tools like Ceramic Tile Cutters.
Knowledge of various tiling designs and techniques.
Understanding different tiles available in the market, such as porcelain tiles, and glass
tiles.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Having an eye for detail.
Ability to manage time effectively.


Physical Requirements:
Bend or twist their body.
Kneel or stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at time.
