Job description

Responsibilities of Position:

 

  1. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  2. Record production and inspection data manually or in electronic storage devices.
  3. Operate secondary operation equipment or perform secondary operations to molded components.
  4. Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
  5. Train other operators as authorized.
  6. Manually or semi-automatically install components to tubes.
  7. Load and unload benders as needed.
  8. Check quality of assemblies and visually inspect.
  9. Perform audits as required.
  10. Run parts according to production schedule.
  11. Performs any other assigned duties or projects.

 

Skill Requirements:

 

  1. Ability to work any overtime as needed.
  2. Ability to work any shift as needed.
  3. Ability to cross train and perform additional duties as needed.
  4. Good attendance.
  5. Self-directed with a high degree of self- motivation.
  6. Proficient computer skills.
  7. Math skills equivalent to a High School diploma or GED.
  8. Able to read and write in English.

Education and Experience Requirements:

 

  1. High School diploma or GED.
  2. External Candidates preferably will have at least 2 years of manufacturing operator experience.
  3. Internal Candidates must have good attendance; at least 6 months of TI perm or temp tenure; and no written or final warnings on their current record.

Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:

 

  1. Not applicable for this position.

Physical Requirements:

 

  1. Ability to work in a standing, squatting, bending, reaching positions for extended periods of time.
  2. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.

Working Conditions:

 

  1. Works within an automotive components manufacturing warehouse and production facility.
  2. May be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
  3. Hearing protection required.
  4. Eye protection required.
  5. Maneuvers in, around and under factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis.
