Job description

This 2nd shift entry level maintenance role (also called Fixture Reset) is integral to the manufacturing process, contributing to the successful production of automotive components while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Objectives:

  • General facilities maintenance like installation of racking systems, hanging TV's, hanging signs, and other miscellaneous facilities repair/maintenance duties.
  • Use Fiix software to communicate Work Orders and document use of spare parts.
  • Responsible for getting the fixtures from the staged areas during changeovers in preparation for production.
  • Work to continuously reduce/improve fixture setup/changeover time.
  • Attend all the T2 meetings to receive the changeover priority/list.
  • Ensure cleanliness in the stage fixture/secondary area daily.
  • Ensure that all the fixture/secondaries are in the proper labeled area and staged.
  • Upon completion of a production job, make sure the secondary is inspected for damages before storing in designated location. If damages are found, create the repair work order in the Fiix software for correction.
  • Assists production with any Poke Yoke issues along with escalating the issue to the maintenance technician and adding a fix work order to the system for tracking.
  • Works with maintenance team and individually on scheduled PMs via fix software.
  • Carry and enforce TI Automotive workplace safety guidelines and health and safety statement.
  • Ensure safety concerns that arise from safety incidents, accidents or safety meetings are corrected immediately.
  • Cooperate, participate and lead corrective actions in conjunction with health and safety committee, continuous improvement team and other departments within facility.
  • Ensure all local, state and federal laws are upheld and followed in relation to safety, environmental, hiring and recruitment and worker safety, as stated by TOSHA and the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Association.
  • Contribute to a work environment free from harassment, where fairness, equality and non-discriminatory practices are standard.
  • Adhere to the Quality Policy and Environmental Policy as they relate to ISO 9001:2008 and EMS ISO 14001:2004 and TS 16949.
  • Follow the LOTO procedures to ensure safety practices meet the standard.

Qualifications

- Experience: Forklift (standup and sit down), mechanically and/or electrically inclined

- Education: High School Graduate or GED

- Computer Skills: Basic Windows and Microsoft Office

- Organizational Skills: Must be able to read, write, and speak English
