Job description

Your Role

The Service Porter is responsible for moving cars, light facility cleaning and maintenance tasks, assisting service department personnel with the processing and delivery of serviced vehicles and to assist as needed in other operations of the shop.

Position is Full-Time, 40 hours weekly

Job Responsibilities

  • Greets customers, determines if customer has an appointment, introduces to service advisor.
  • Ensures customer has all personal items out of vehicle.
  • Prepares vehicle, tagging, installing protective seat covers and floor mats.
  • Transports vehicle to designated parking area to await service.
  • Delivers completed vehicle to customer.
  • Provide shuttle service as needed.
  • Responsible for keeping the service area safe, neat, and clean.
  • Informs Service manager of cleaning supply needs.
  • Checks service parking lot at the end of day to ensure all vehicles are locked and keys are placed on the appropriate key board.
  • Conduct business within Pedersen Toyota Volvo policies and procedures.
  • Act ethically, with integrity and in the best interest of the customer and the business always.
  • Performs other duties as directed by management for the proper functioning of the department.

Work Environment

Employee must walk/travel throughout dealership and lot. Employee may be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, and wide temperature variances.
