THE ROLE
We're looking for a world-class freelance thumbnail designer who knows how to stop the scroll. You should live and breathe YouTube, understand how to design for attention, and have a portfolio that proves you know how to deliver high-click-through-rate thumbnails. This isn't just a design job-it's about understanding psychology, storytelling, and the ever-changing YouTube landscape.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Concept and design high-performing thumbnails for long-form and short-form YouTube videos
  • Collaborate with the creative director and editors to understand the story and emotional beats of each video
  • Rapidly generate, iterate, and test concepts under tight deadlines
  • Keep up with YouTube thumbnail trends and continually experiment with new styles
  • Ensure every thumbnail is optimized for mobile and desktop viewing

What We're Looking For:
  • A strong portfolio of YouTube thumbnails with proven performance or mock-ups that show mastery of the format
  • Deep knowledge of YouTube best practices, CTR metrics, and audience behavior
  • Proficiency in Photoshop or similar design software
  • Ability to work quickly and independently while maintaining high visual standards
  • Great visual storytelling instincts and an eye for composition, color, and facial expression

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in frenetic lifestyle and prank content
