Provider Relations Specialist Position Overview
As a Provider Relations Specialist, you will cultivate and manage referring provider relationships within a designated territory. You will collaborate with the client's treatment team, internally and externally to provide comprehensive care coordination. You will also act as an internal liaison to foster and enhance the experience and outcomes for their clients and families. As a talented specialist you will identify market strategies, build and deepen professional relationships, and optimize potential opportunities to expand The Emily Program's community impact and patient engagement.
Schedule
  • Monday-Friday (8:00 am-5:00 pm)
  • Some evenings and weekends as needed for travel, events, or conferences

Location
  • Remote based
  • 70-90% Travel within the assigned territory
    • PA, Southern NJ, DE and surrounding areas as assigned
  • Requires permanent residence in the state of PA

Compensation Disclosure
  • Provider Relations Specialist, starting salary range between $85,000-105,000
  • Uncapped incentive compensation plan

Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position
How Provider Relations Specialist Empower Recovery
  • Concierge Customer Service: Ensures the coordination of communication as an integral part of the treatment team, joining internal and external care providers to provide an ideal level of communication and a concierge level of client experience. Locally manages the entire communication process from the initial call and proactively anticipates obstacles and participates in solutions from inception of a referral through the admission process to enhance patient and referent experience.
  • Business Aptitude: Is the "CEO" of their own territory; builds, manages and executes a diversified, strategic business plan that includes tactical, measurable activities and branding opportunities that produce business results. Ability to make keen judgments and decisions by analyzing business opportunities and anticipating changes in the marketplace. Functions as "eyes and ears" back to the company providing a reciprocating connection between the program and the eating disorder community.
  • Professional Relationship Development: Has the ability to continuously initiate professional relationships, connect interpersonally, leverage differentiators and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship. Provides unique knowledge, adapts to situations and navigates obstacles to create a genuine, trusting partnership.
  • Results Driven: Drives territory initiatives with a self-motivated, self-governed approach; holding oneself accountable to tangible business and relational results through diverse, persistent outreach efforts. Role Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate professionalism in interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with colleagues, clinicians, and all referral sources.
  • Ability to analyze territory, develop a comprehensive outreach plan, and implement strategies to win back business, retain established and grow existing professional referral database.

  • Develop and execute a written quarterly and annual business development plan within the designated territory to meet or exceed targets
  • Conduct face to face meetings with key decision makers to uncover needs, address barriers to treatment and create community partnerships
  • Develop new and emerging referral channels by creating opportunities to increase awareness of our services among providers, to increase program reach
  • Plan/attend conferences/networking events on behalf of The Emily Program
  • Plan and execute presentations and tours, customize them to the target audience
  • Respond immediately to service and referral inquiries and provide support the referring professional and the family, from the first call through admission, ensuring communication and care coordination
  • Participate in Quarterly field rides with VP, Clinical Outreach
  • Manage expenses and company credit card tasks as designated by supervisor/administrator
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Professional Qualifications
  • 2+ years' experience working in sales, business development, or account management
  • Experience working in behavioral health or eating disorder outreach is preferred but not
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
  • Must possess a current, valid S. Driver's License.
  • Must have reliable

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree Preference for a degree in marketing, communications, psychology, or social work, but not required.
  • In the absence of a bachelor's degree, high school diploma in addition to 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Clinical background preferred but not required
