Job Description
The Textile Spinning Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring textile spinning equipment used to process fibers into yarn or thread. This role supports safe, efficient production by loading materials, threading machines, adjusting settings, and inspecting finished product for quality. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Prior textile or machine operation experience is preferred, but candidates with related production experience may also be considered.
Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate spinning, winding, twisting, drawing, or related textile machines according to work orders and production specifications
• Load raw fiber, yarn, bobbins, cones, spools, or other materials into machines and thread materials through guides, rollers, and needles
• Monitor equipment to identify jams, breaks, defects, machine malfunctions, or production delays
• Adjust machine settings such as tension, speed, twist, feed rate, and alignment to maintain product quality
• Inspect yarn or textile output for defects and record production counts, downtime, quality issues, and material usage
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Ability to train on 1st shift
• Previous textile, manufacturing, machine operation, or production experience preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues
• Ability to read work orders, follow instructions, and maintain accurate production records
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25-50 lbs. as required, and work around moving machinery, noise, dust, and fibers
