Now Hiring: Yarn Operator / Backwind Operator

Greer SC

2nd & 3rd Shift | Textile & Technical Experience Encouraged

Pay = $18-$20 per hour (depending on experience)

Shift Schedules

  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3 pm - 11 pm
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 11 pm - 7 am

Consistent schedules - no rotating shifts

What You'll Do

As a Yarn Operator/Backwind Operator, you'll be responsible for the technical oversight and smooth operation of back-winding equipment used in weatherstripping manufacturing.

  • Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on back winding equipment
  • Monitor production flow and adjust to changing production and inventory needs
  • Ensure equipment efficiency meets production and quality standards
  • Track yarn usage, scrap rates, uptime, and package delivery
  • Monitor production to standard work and report findings
  • Identify improvement opportunities related to safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors, team leaders, and operators
  • Maintain accurate documentation and basic computer records
  • Follow and promote safe work practices

What We're Looking For

  • Textile, yarn, winding, or similar manufacturing experience strongly desired
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Standing, reaching, and hands-on machine work throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a louder production environment
