Internship Opportunity: Chemical Engineering/Materials

About the Position

Our team, consisting of 60 people, is part of the polymer production unit at the Santo André site. The polymerizations have three production plants – PDN, PDR, and PCN II, and are responsible for producing products for internal consumption of the Santo André yarn, starting the textile chain, or for the external market. As a Chemical Engineering/Materials Intern, you will work in a dynamic industrial environment, with direct interface with operation, engineering, quality, and support areas, having the opportunity to develop technical and analytical knowledge applied to the chemical industry. You will actively participate in the area's routines, supporting operational initiatives and strategic projects, with direct impact on production efficiency and continuous process improvement. You will be responsible for supporting the team in:

  • Operational support: monitoring plant routines, reviewing and standardizing procedures, and supporting process deviation analysis.
  • Digitalization and data: supporting the development of dashboards (Power BI), automation of routines, and database structuring.
  • Indicator monitoring: following and analyzing operational KPIs, supporting the identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Continuous improvement: participating in process optimization projects, with support in implementation and follow-up of actions.
  • Engineering projects: participating in improvement initiatives and technical studies, with data analysis and report preparation.

We offer a one-year internship, extendable for the same period or as long as there is a college link, based on the in-person work modality.

About You

Pursuing Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related fields, preferably from the 3rd year onwards. Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of industrial processes and unit operations.
  • Notions of data analysis and performance indicators.
  • Knowledge of Office suite (mainly Excel and PowerPoint).

About the Salary

Attractive and equitable salary for all: compensation is determined within a range to promote your development in the position. The expected scholarship for this position in Brazil is R$ 2100.00 monthly (considering a 30-hour weekly workload). In addition, we offer a competitive benefits package, such as:
