Role: EV Service Advisor, Reconditioning Operations
Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $65,000–110,000 OTE (base + potential performance bonus)

What You'll Do

  • Own reconditioning decisions for Ever's EV inventory
  • Triage inspection reports and determine repair scope, priority, and budget
  • Coordinate work across internal technicians, third-party shops, dealers, and mobile vendors
  • Source and manage external service partners to optimize cost, speed, and quality
  • Approve estimates, negotiate pricing, and control reconditioning spend
  • Track vehicle status through inspection, repair, QA, and ready-to-sell stages
  • Ensure vehicles meet Ever's quality, safety, and merchandising standards
  • Resolve technical issues and unblock stalled vehicles
  • Maintain accurate reconditioning records and documentation
  • Identify process improvements to reduce cycle time and cost
  • Provide feedback to Product & Ops teams to improve tooling and workflows

Qualifications & Fit

  • 2–6+ years of experience in service advising, recon ops, or fleet maintenance
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean, acceptable driving record
  • Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and cost drivers
  • Comfortable making fast, data-driven repair decisions
  • Experience managing vendors, shops, or dealer service departments
  • High ownership and strong operational mindset
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Passion for EVs and next-generation mobility

Technical Skills

  • Experience with service DMS or recon management tools
  • Ability to read inspection reports, estimates, and labor ops
  • Familiarity with EV systems and common failure modes
  • Strong Excel / Sheets skills
  • Comfort using Slack, CRM, and ops dashboards
  • Experience negotiating labor rates and parts pricing

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while assisting customers, conducting vehicle walk-arounds, and coordinating service activities in the showroom and service area
  • Ability to enter, exit, and operate vehicles safely, including occasional driving or moving vehicles in connection with service appointments, inspections, or customer support
  • Ability to occasionally bend, reach, stoop, and work around vehicles
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds, including customer items, parts, documents, and light office or service supplies
