Volkswagen of Downtown Chicago is seeking a customer-focused and results-driven Automotive Service Advisor to join our service team. As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact for customers visiting our dealership for vehicle maintenance and repair services. Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive service experience from start to finish.
Consult with customers to understand their vehicle service needs and concerns, providing accurate and timely recommendations for maintenance and repairs.
Schedule service appointments and coordinate with the service department to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of work.
Conduct vehicle walk-arounds and inspections to identify service requirements and communicate findings to customers.
Provide accurate estimates for service costs and timelines, ensuring transparency and clarity in all communications.
Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders, track progress, and update customers on repair status.
Educate customers on recommended maintenance services, warranty coverage, and dealership service offerings.
Process service orders, invoices, and payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with dealership policies and procedures.
Follow up with customers after service visits to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or additional service needs.
 
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or vocational training in automotive technology preferred.
Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or related customer service role preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
Knowledge of automotive service and repair procedures, including basic technical terminology and vehicle systems.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in computer software applications, including service scheduling systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
