The Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Rail staff while focusing on safety, performance, and productivity. This role includes managing crew movements, identifying and resolving issues to maintain an efficient flow of operations, and enforcing company policies to ensure a safe and organized work environment. The Operations Coordinator will foster positive relationships with terminal staff to enhance engagement and retention while also carrying out additional administrative and non-administrative duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the daily operations of Rail staff, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Assist in coordinating and managing the movement of crews to optimize Rail operations.
  • Identify situations that require problem-solving and implement effective solutions to ensure smooth and efficient flow within the Rail yard.
  • Enforce and uphold all ConGlobal rules, regulations, and policies to maintain operational standards.
  • Approach safety violations with care, providing on-the-spot coaching to improve compliance and promote a culture of safety.
  • Perform other administrative and non-administrative duties as assigned to support overall operations and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in operations, logistics, or terminal management, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to identify issues and implement solutions quickly.
  • Solid understanding of safety procedures and ability to coach others on safety best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interactions with staff and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a depot or terminal operations environment.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and operational procedures.
