Job description

About Us

At Digital Media Vending, we design, build, and deploy the next generation of smart automated retail and custom vending solutions. We work with brands to create cutting-edge machines that deliver unique customer experiences. We are looking for a versatile, hands-on Equipment Technician to join our growing team.

The Role

We are seeking a multifaceted technician who likes to work with their hands and is eager to learn our technology from the inside out.

You will start in our warehouse, getting to know our machines by prepping them for deployment, building shelving, and customizing components. As you master our equipment and systems, your role will expand into the field. You will travel to client sites to handle installations, repairs, and technical support. This is a dynamic role that bridges warehouse operations with front-line customer success.

Key Responsibilities

Phase 1: Warehouse & Assembly (Immediate)

  • Machine Preparation: Assemble, test, and prep custom vending machines for deployment.
  • Customization & Build: Build internal vending machine shelving, install electrical/mechanical components, and perform small customizations based on client orders.
  • Fulfillment: Pick and pack orders accurately.
  • Shipping & Logistics: Securely prep, palletize, and package equipment for safe domestic and international freight shipping.
  • Quality Control: Ensure every machine leaving the warehouse meets our high functional and aesthetic standards.

Phase 2: Field Services (As you master the equipment)

  • On-Site Installation: Travel to customer locations to install, calibrate, and launch new vending machines.
  • Field Repairs & Maintenance: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or software issues on-site for existing customers.
  • Customer Support: Act as the face of Digital Media Vending in the field, ensuring customers are confident in operating their new equipment.
  • Travel: Travel regularly within the US to support our nationwide fleet of machines, with the potential for international deployment trips.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Mechanically Inclined: Comfortable using hand and power tools, assembling components, and performing light mechanical/electrical work.
  • Desire to Learn: Willingness to deeply learn our proprietary technology, software, and hardware configurations.
  • Travel-Ready: Ability to travel domestically (and potentially internationally) as needed once trained in field operations.
  • Passport: Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid passport for international travel.
  • Detail-Oriented: A careful eye for quality when assembling machines and prepping them for long-distance shipping.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy components, stand for extended periods, and maneuver equipment safely.
  • Valid Driver’s License: Required for field travel and logistics.

Job Types: Temporary, Part-time, Full-time

Benefits:

  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
