Job description

Job Title: Creative Project Manager — Freelance Location: 100% Remote · Mexico-based candidates Engagement: Full-time freelance engagement (~4 months) We build creative teams that actually work — embedded, prepared, and ready to deliver from day one. At Designerds, we plug agency-trained creatives directly into in-house teams, already onboarded and prepped before work begins. We need a Creative Project Manager to keep that machine running at full speed.

The Opportunity This is a full-time freelance engagement of approximately 4 months. You will own complete project lifecycles and serve as the main point of contact for both client-facing and internal creative services projects, ensuring everything is delivered on time and within budget. This is a defined-term engagement — ideal for a seasoned PM who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced creative environments and wants meaningful, high-impact work without the long-term commitment.

What You'll Be Doing Manage end-to-end creative project workflows, from client briefing and scoping to final delivery. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients — building trust, communicating proactively, and keeping everyone aligned. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and Statements of Work (SOWs).

Monitor project progress, track expenses, and manage budgets to meet client requirements. Proactively identify and solve workflow bottlenecks — adjusting schedules and plans before they become problems. Allocate and prioritize creative resources in collaboration with the Creative Operations Director.

Provide production recommendations to the creative team during the design phase. Manage external vendors for print production, video production, and web development. What We're Looking For Required 4+ years of Project Management experience within a Creative, Marketing, or Advertising Agency.

Proven track record managing full project lifecycles for creative projects (marketing, design, video, web). Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously without dropping the ball on timelines or client expectations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English — clear, timely, and professional.

Proficiency with ClickUp and Creative tools such as Figma. Strong organizational skills, including budget management and asset trafficking. Nice to Have Experience working with US-based or international remote-first agencies.

Background in creative operations. Familiarity with Slack, Notion, or similar async collaboration tools. Engagement Details Duration: Approximately 4 months (defined-term freelance engagement), with potential extension based on project needs.

Start date: Estimated mid-July to mid-August 2025 — exact timing confirmed during the final interview stage. Schedule: Full-time hours, 100% remote. Location: Open exclusively to candidates currently residing in Mexico.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience. Range shared during the screening call. Why Designerds?

100% remote — Great work from wherever you do your best thinking. Work with world-class in-house teams across North and South America. A genuinely collaborative, low-ego team that communicates openly and moves fast.

Flexible async-first culture — we care about communication and results. Real creative challenges — no busywork, no pointless meetings. Potential to continue working with us beyond this engagement if the fit is right and projects demand it.

About Designerds Founded in 2014 in San Francisco, CA, Designerds is not your typical creative agency. We embed our agency-trained creatives directly within in-house teams — already onboarded and prepped with all brand particulars and internal processes before work begins. This model saves our clients time and bandwidth, alleviates team burnout, and ensures continuous production coverage.

No downtime when vacations, illness, or the unforeseen occur. Welcome to the Design Nerd side! Designerds is an equal opportunity employer.

All applicants will be considered without attention to ethnicity, appearance, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, veteran, or disability status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
