Bindery Supervisor

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Bindery Supervisor / Lead Bindery Operator to lead daily operations within the bindery and finishing department. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for machine setup, production efficiency, employee development, quality standards, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

The department consists of approximately 11 core team members, with additional support brought in during peak production periods. The ideal candidate will combine strong bindery expertise with proven leadership experience and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day bindery operations on 1st shift.
  • Lead, train, and develop bindery personnel while promoting teamwork and accountability.
  • Perform advanced machine setups and provide troubleshooting support as needed.
  • Monitor production schedules to ensure deadlines and quality standards are achieved.
  • Maintain workflow efficiency and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
  • Manage staffing needs and support temporary or floating personnel during high-volume periods.
  • Communicate effectively with production, scheduling, and management teams.
