     Operations Center  School or Department Temporary Seasonal Grounds Worker  Assignment Open 5/12/25  Date

                  Rate of Pay:  $22.92/hr      
Duties & Responsibilities:  (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships
Cut grass with large 16' gang mower, small tractor and push mower
Trim grounds as directed with string trimmer
Pick up trash around school grounds
Empty trash receptacles
Operate power washer
Move freight and make deliveries as needed
Operate freight truck and dump truck
Deliver mulch and dirt to facilities
Other duties as assigned
Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully

Physical Requirements of Position:  
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to walk/stand continuously.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Ability to squat/bend frequently.
  • Ability to climb steps and work on uneven ground.
 
In addition to these specific qualifications this person must meet all the general qualifications listed in the maintenance job description of the Davenport Community School District.
