Job description

Shipping Clerk
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Shipping Clerk for a company based in Tampa, FL. In this job, you will be responsible for shipping, receiving, and processing incoming goods, inspecting, and verifying inventory for accuracy. Prepare finished products for shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. 
 
Pay Rate:
$19.00 per hour
 
Schedule and Hours:
Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
 
Shipping Clerk Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive material into SAP inventory for all incoming shipments by verifying part number, purchase order, quantity, batch number, and revision level.
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, segregate damaged items, record shortages, and communicate discrepancies to the Buyer/Planner to resolve damages and shortages.
  • Preparing documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route products.
  • Process shipment documentation and inspecting completed orders. 
  • Operate FedEx and UPS software proficiently and other computer systems to receive and track inventory. 
  • Maintains inventory accuracy by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Shipping Clerk Requirements and Qualifications 
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of Shipping and Receiving experience in manufacturing. 
  • Proficient in electronic shipping software, such as ShippingEasy, ShipStation, and MS. Office. 
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics and shipping documentation. 
  • Analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Able to lift 50 pounds consistently (in-office lifting test provided).
