Job Title: Pharmacy Material HandlerJob Description

This role supports a pharmacy and healthcare environment by handling materials, preparing shipments, and maintaining inventory to ensure that products are packed, labeled, and shipped accurately and on time. The position focuses heavily on material handling and shipping activities rather than clerical tasks and requires close adherence to Standard Operating Procedures in a regulated setting.

Responsibilities
  • Properly pack products in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accuracy, safety, and product integrity.
  • Prepare shipments for carrier pickup, including organizing packages and staging them for timely collection.
  • Ensure all production supplies, such as packaging materials and shipping resources, are fully stocked and available at all times.
  • Create, correct, and maintain shipping labels as needed to support accurate delivery and tracking.
  • Bring prepared packages to shipping, mail, and courier areas as required throughout the day.
  • Receive various goods and materials throughout the day, verifying incoming items and routing them appropriately.
  • Learn and apply functions related to commercial courier and shipping systems to process shipments efficiently.
  • Maintain adequate stock of gel packs, ice, and ambient materials to support appropriate temperature-controlled packaging for daily shipments.
  • Empty trash and help maintain a clean, orderly work area in accordance with facility standards.
  • Focus primarily on material handling duties, including moving, organizing, and preparing materials, rather than clerical tasks.
  • Support inventory-related activities by handling, organizing, and tracking products and supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and shipping goals while following all procedures and instructions.

The facility is typically open around holidays, although some days may be half days or partial days. Team members are expected to maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory guidelines.

This is a Contract position based out of Montville, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
