Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 7:50 AM- 5:30 PM (Time varies depending on the last patient, YOU MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO CLOSE IF NEEDED) in Chesapeake, VA 23320

Responsibilities :
A Day in the Life of a Medical Receptionist :

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care while abiding by all HIPAA laws and regulations in an outpatient clinic setting. Your role is instrumental in the smooth running of the clinic visits which includes answering the phones in a courteous and professional manner, checking in and checking out patients, insurance verifications, collecting co-payments, updating patient's information, taking accurate messages, scheduling, canceling or rescheduling appointments, prepare patients' superbills for next day appointments, provide efficient care for patients optimizing their healthcare outcomes. The medical receptionist will also straighten the reception room; maintain the patient bathroom, contact patients who need appointments/labs for compliance by phone and/or mail; monitor the wait list and schedule appointments as needed, and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This position is in Chesapeake, VA 23320!

Requirements for the Medical Receptionist:
  • Required: At least 1 year experience as a Medical/Front Desk receptionist working in a Medical office setting.
  • Required: COVID vaccination or medical waiver
  • Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
  • Required: Must be reliable and a quick learner and have the ability to multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment
  • Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
