Paralegal (Temporary/Contract)
Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $33.00 - $38.00 per hour
Employment Type: Temporary / Contract
Paralegal
LHH is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal for a temporary contract opportunity in the Tampa, Florida area. This role will support attorneys and legal teams by assisting with case management, legal research, document preparation, and trial support. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced legal environment and possess strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research using online legal databases and other resources.
  • Draft, proofread, and revise legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and reports.
  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, discovery, and trial support.
  • Organize, maintain, and manage physical and electronic case files.
  • Review and summarize medical records, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Coordinate document production and discovery requests.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third-party vendors.
  • Track deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with preparing exhibits, witness materials, and trial binders.
  • Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • Associate's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal documentation.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting litigation, insurance defense, personal injury, corporate, or commercial law practices.
  • Familiarity with electronic filing systems and legal research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, or PACER.
  • Trial preparation and trial support experience.
