About the Role


This position exists to create preference and active-users primarily in law schools in an assigned territory by assessing the needs of the customer, developing school-specific business plans, and promoting the advantages of LexisNexis products and services. The Practice Area Consultant will also assist the commercial account team in uncovering leads and opportunities that result in revenue and POS.


Responsibilities


  • Acting as a Consultative Sales Person, by supporting law school customers in order to increase active users
  • Working at all levels of law schools including students, faculty, librarians and leadership (i.e. law school Dean-level)
  • Developing strategic account plans (which will differ school-by-school), recognize sales
  • Demonstrating deep product, content or practice area knowledge; acts as internal resource for sales, marketing and segment
  • Preparing and delivering specialized customer presentations that communicate our value proposition and differentiators to create new active users
  • Conducting research, analysis of findings and shares information with product, segment and marketing as applicable


Requirements


  • Have a Juris Doctor degree; State Bar membership is highly preferred
  • Possess 1-2 years of legal practice experience
  • Display excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have experience developing and executing on account plans and coordinating key stakeholders and resources to positively impact clients
  • Demonstrate outstanding networking capabilities and exhibit a professional demeanor, business maturity, and technical knowledge
  • Have the ability to travel to local accounts
