Job description

Phoenix-Talent School District #4 is seeking applications for the position of:
TEMPORARY  SUMMER SCHOOL TEACHER - Phoenix High School 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is temporary, 7.5 hours/day with *8 hours dedicated to lesson preparation and program design before summer school program begins, 5 days/week (Mon-Fri), 8:00 AM-3:30 PM beginning June 15th 2026 through June 26th, 2026.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal 
JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides students space and support to complete credit retrieval through our online edmentum program. Teacher will be responsible for monitoring student progress and completion of course work, attendance communication home, filling credit retrieval completion forms and maintain accurate records.
QUALIFICATIONS:














  1. Valid Oregon Teaching License.
  2. Physical demands needed: ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public; ability to communicate over the telephone; ability to respond to telephone, bells, students, co-workers, etc.; ability to respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.; ability to operate office equipment; ability to carry or lift light loads (25 lbs).

PREFERENCES:

  1. Experience working in and/or coordinating summer school programs.
  2. Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  3. Special Education Teacher
