Job description

Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support our field, laboratory, and corporate operations. This role is responsible for strengthening our safety culture, driving regulatory compliance, and supporting critical safety initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will provide technical safety guidance, assist in developing safety programs, coordinate training efforts, and ensure adherence to federal and state safety regulations while meeting client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide safety support and guidance to field, laboratory, corporate employees, and contractors/temporary staffMaintain and update corporate safety resources, including manuals, training materials, regulatory documentation, and videosDevelop and deliver safety training programs for new and existing policies and proceduresPromote safety awareness through internal communications and safety initiativesMonitor federal and state OSHA regulations; track and implement regulatory updates as requiredSupport personnel in maintaining compliance with applicable safety regulationsConduct safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to company programs and regulatory requirementsReview injury, illness, and incident reports and follow up on corrective actionsPerform gap analyses of client safety programs and recommend improvementsDevelop procedures and programs aimed at achieving zero incidentsConduct routine site visits to identify hazards and ensure safe operationsInvestigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measuresManage and track key safety performance indicators (KPIs)Develop project-specific safety plans and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) proceduresTravel as requiredPreferred Industry ExperienceMaritimeCoal MiningTesting, Inspection, and Certification (TIC)Qualifications3–5+ years of safety experience requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of OSHA regulations, MSDS/SDS, and contractor compliance platforms (e.g., ISNetworld)First Aid/CPR certification preferredCSP (Certified Safety Professional) strongly preferredWhy Join UsYou will play a key role in shaping a proactive safety culture and ensuring the well-being of employees across diverse environments.Applicants will be subject to pre-employment screening which can include drug screening, physicals, reference checks, employment verifications, background screening, and/or skills assessments.
