Position Summary:

GIP is seeking to hire an Associate to join its Digital Infrastructure Private Equity investment team.

Associates will play a key role in underwriting and managing investments on behalf of both GIP's Flagship Fund and the Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Partnership (AIP) fund.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling: developing, utilizing, and analyzing robust financial models to support deal underwriting and deal structuring.

  • Due Diligence and Execution: working with deal team members to assess and execute new investments. This will include conducting due diligence, financial review, preparation of presentation materials for investment committee, etc.

  • Market Research: performing market research, including research on potential investments, industries, competitive positioning, etc.

  • Portfolio Company Monitoring: assist in the monitoring of portfolio companies including analysis of corporate development, add-on, and financing opportunities, analyzing budgets, interacting with key members of management, and positioning business to be prepared for exit

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with strong academic background

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking and/or private equity

  • Previous experience in data centers, digital infrastructure, or TMT is preferred

  • Superior analytical, financial modeling, and accounting skills

  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • High level of professionalism, intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and self-awareness

  • Enthusiasm and commitment to working in team environment

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$135,000.00 - USD$180,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
