Job description

Milestone Transport Service Driver L1 Location: Onsite - Washington State Employment Type: Full-Time Temporary Overview The Milestone Transport Service Driver L1 Temporary is responsible for safely driving and delivering materials and goods to support the Transport Service Team in the daily execution of service operations, ensuring compliance with all company policies and Washington State and federal transportation laws. This includes adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT), Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I), and Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) requirements. This is a full-time Temporary position, onsite role in an environment that may include large warehouses, data centers, and internal transport service locations. How You Will Make a Difference The primary responsibility of the Transport Service Driver is to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery operations. Duties include, but are not limited to: * Operate vehicles safely and lawfully in accordance with Washington State motor vehicle and DOT regulations. * Collect inventory/goods from designated collection points and ensure all Client and company documentation is accurate and compliant with internal and external transport requirements. * Use GPS navigation and local route knowledge to plan and follow efficient, lawful delivery routes considering road, weather, and traffic conditions. * Transport inventory/goods using company box trucks or cargo vans (no CDL required unless otherwise specified). * Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections and company safety policies. * Promptly report any vehicle defects or unsafe conditions to management. * Participate in the scheduling and completion of regular vehicle maintenance checks per manufacturer and Washington State standards. * Maintain readiness to operate safely in all weather conditions, including snow and ice. * Ensure professional and courteous interactions with all Milestone and Client stakeholders. * Unload inventory/goods at destination, obtain proper sign-off for receipt, and ensure the accurate completion of transfer documentation. * Attend all required safety, compliance, and operational training. * Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and adherence to Milestone's dress and conduct standards. * Lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds safely using approved techniques and equipment. What You Will Need to Succeed * Valid Washington State Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). * Ability to pass a DOT Medical Exam and maintain a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (if applicable). * Ability to pass a Washington State-compliant pre-employment drug screening in accordance with DOT or company requirements (excludes cannabis where applicable by law). * Knowledge of and adherence to Washington State and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. * Proven reliability and willingness to learn new processes. * Strong attention to safety, detail, and compliance. * Effective time management and route planning skills. * Basic proficiency with iPad, iPhone, and computer-based systems. * Ability to work independently or collaboratively under the direction of the Transport Service Dispatcher. * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Commitment to Milestone's Core Values: * Sense of Urgency * Collaboration * Open, Honest, and Respectful Communication * Integrity - Do What We Say * Going Above and Beyond #LI-LC1
