Job Title: 7193- Data Technician, Entry Level (Must reside in Sacramento to be considered)

Location: Sacramento, CA
Job Type: Temporary / Contract
Work Hours: Full-time, up to 8 hours/day

Pay: $18+ an hour

Overview:
We are seeking an entry-level Data Management Technician to join our team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical mindset and foundational knowledge of engineering or GIS concepts to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The technician will assist in maintaining and analyzing utility-related datasets, working with AutoCAD, GIS tools, and document management systems. Main duties will be to execute printing tasks for Sewer District drawings.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Review and analyze data related to sewer or utility infrastructure
  • Create, update, and maintain assets in AutoCAD 2D Mapping Enterprise
  • Enter, transfer, and verify data accuracy across databases
  • Retrieve and analyze data for reporting and correction of inconsistencies
  • Interpret and work with engineering plans, schematics, and GIS documents
  • Create technical documentation and reports using Microsoft Office
  • Maintain document management standards and metadata
  • Research technical data and assist users on data processes and systems
  • Operate specialized data management software and tools

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as engineering plans and GIS maps
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication in English
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and systems
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Experience (not required):
