Job description

Global Land Partners, LLC is seeking a local full-time GIS Analyst in its Norman, Oklahoma office to provide direct support to the GIS department through creating and maintaining accurate GIS data and maps. The candidate will use ESRI ArcGIS to generate and organize GIS data to support energy land projects.
Qualifications and Essential Functions include:
  • Create, maintain, organize, and update shapefiles, geodatabases, and Google Earth files.
  • Create routing and site maps for pipelines, transmission lines, and other energy-related facilities.
  • Develop prospecting maps, infrastructure maps, project status, and overview maps to support project teams.
  • Build and maintain interactive web maps and applications, utilizing ArcGIS Experience Builder.
  • Plot deed descriptions and easement boundaries from legal documents to accurately represent property and right-of-way limits.
  • Convert raw data into formats that are easily readable and accessible to the intended recipient.
  • Research county, state, and national data sources to obtain pertinent spatial and tabular information.
  • Maintain and manage local data in order to make timely updates to maps as new data is received.
  • Effectively communicate with and provide support to clients, land technicians, land agents, supervisors, and project managers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ArcGIS desktop and web applications to create maps and data, while maintaining and organizing that data.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in GIS, with a strong preference for ESRI ArcGIS proficiency.
