Job description

Step into the heart of Major League Soccer and be part of a team that’s shaping the player
experience across the League. As a Player Engagement Coordinator, you’ll join a highly
collaborative group dedicated to supporting players, empowering clubs, and driving the
continued growth of MLS.


This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll play a key role in
bringing programs and events to life, while helping ensure seamless day-to-day operations
for the department. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, curious, and thrives on
connecting the dots—someone who doesn’t just execute but elevates everything they touch.
The ideal candidate is detail-obsessed, resourceful, and confident navigating sensitive
situations with professionalism and discretion. You’ll regularly interact with players, clubs,
and league stakeholders, making trust, judgment, and communication essential to your
success.


This is a temporary, non-exempt position running from July 1, 2026 through March 30,
2027, based on-site at MLS Headquarters four days per week. To ensure a consistent in
office presence that supports collaboration throughout the week, the remote day may not
be used exclusively on Mondays or Fridays.


  • Coordinate and provide support with the planning and execution of department
    events including Rookie Symposium and the Club Player Engagement Summit.
  • Coordinate logistics for both virtual and in-person player programs, such as the
    Playing As One and Virtual International Player Workshops.
  • Organize planning calls and support outreach to players, speakers, and key
    stakeholders.
  • Manage media logistics for events, including coordinating with internal/external
    partners and scheduling interviews.
  • Support marketing and communications efforts, including updates to the
    department website and MLS Greats Network database.
  • Provide essential administrative and operational support across the Player
    Engagement team.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with players and club personnel across the League

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in the sports industry

Total Rewards
This is a 9-month temporary position. Major League Soccer offers a compensation of
$22.00/hr - $26.00/hr which is equivalent to an annualized salary of $35,000 – $40,000
based on 40-hour workweek. This position is eligible for overtime pay.
