Job Description We are seeking a Temporary Events Assistant to support a busy Events team during a high-volume summer programming season. This role provides administrative and operational support for conferences, workshops, meetings, and special events, helping ensure event spaces are organized, materials are prepared, and day-to-day logistics run smoothly. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys supporting multiple projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Events team, including maintaining event schedules, coordinating vendor access, and assisting with event logistics Prepare event materials such as name badges, place cards, agendas, signage, and other production items Support event setup and onsite execution, including registration, attendee check-in, room preparation, and general event support Maintain event spaces by organizing supplies, monitoring inventory, placing orders, and coordinating with Hospitality and Facilities teams Assist with event management platforms, registration tools, and project tracking as needed Complete additional administrative, operational, and event-related projects to support the team during a busy programming period Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 2+ years of administrative, operations, event coordination, hospitality, or related experience Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Experience with Cvent, Sortly, or similar event management tools is preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and move throughout multiple office and event spaces as needed Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $26.44 per hour Temporary assignment: July 27, 2026 - August 21, 2026 Full-time, 40 hours per week Fully on-site Flatiron, New York, NY
