The Lending Services Specialist (LSS) position is responsible for supporting our Credit and Contracting teams (Lending department) by providing critical support from application processing to contract activation. Your primary responsibilities are to facilitate the credit underwriting and contracts processes by streamlining the workflow and data gathering required for accurate contracting and our underwriting process. The LSS will work cross functionally to be the conduit between the field, sales, and the Lending department by maintaining the group inbox for application submissions, data sourcing, and ensuring we have all final stipulations to ensure activation criteria are met. Additionally, you will support the follow-up for pending application reasons to move them forward for decisioning. As needed, you will be assigned additional projects to help support the contract origination initiatives of the company. The ideal candidate for this role has a winning attitude, outstanding listening skills, and phenomenal communication skills, both verbally and written. This role is a key component to the partner experience we are building at Kinetic Advantage, LLC.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Utilize various software and internet applications to input credit applicant information to obtain business and consumer credit reports, OFAC searches, lien searches, AuctionACCESS #s and entity status
  • Obtain and validate applicant's documentation for review and reporting, including applicant's legal entity information documents (corporation, LLC, etc.), licenses, bank account information, maintain Personal Identifiable Information (PII) reporting and insurance certificates for liability/physical damage
  • Ensure all processing timelines are met and maintain active communication with field personnel regarding application status
  • Work with field personnel and applicants to gather the required information
  • Act as a liaison between Credit Analysts and field personnel to maintain and cultivate positive and professional relationships with the teams
  • Assist in administrating temporary credit increases, line modification projects and maintaining the systems of record
  • Act as a backup for our UCC/PMSI Specialist
  • Interact with all levels of management, staff, borrowers, and third-party vendors
  • Organize requests for existing account reviews and monitor document workflow follow-up with field personnel
  • Responsible for the preparation, accuracy, and timing of regulatory compliance requirements for adverse action notices
  • Performs all other duties as assigned


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years related experience in either finance or the automotive industry, preferred
  • Familiarity or basic understanding of financial statements, preferred

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented, able to work on multiple tasks concurrently, and able to prioritize tasks consistently throughout each day
  • Ability to discuss application and documentation requirements with market personnel and customers and know when it is appropriate to get a supervisor involved
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and, at times, stressful environment coupled with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Bilingual preferred but not required


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to communicate clearly
  • Ability to operate computer and office equipment, maintain paper files, and move about an office environment
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
