Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager with a strong background in portfolio data management and analytics. This role is pivotal in supporting enterprise-wide prioritization by ensuring the accuracy, structure, and usability of data that drives strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will maintain the integrity of the enterpriseโ€™s single source of truth and facilitate alignment between strategy, execution, and resource allocation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Data Ownership: Ensure completeness, consistency, and accuracy of initiative data in Sopheon PPM. Collaborate with functional data owners to validate and maintain project-level data integrity across critical portfolios.

  • Data Maintenance: Continuously update and manage the central repository for all active, proposed, and deprioritized initiatives. Track key metadata such as ownership, status, phase, timing, resource load, and projected value.

  • Analytics & Insights: Analyze portfolio metrics (e.g., capacity vs. demand, phasing, value distribution) to provide actionable insights that drive prioritization and investment decisions. Conduct ad hoc deep dives to uncover root causes and support governance.

  • Recommendations & Planning: Deliver data-backed recommendations to support strategic planning, resolve resource constraints, and align with portfolio targets.

  • Reporting & Dashboards: Collaborate with analytics and visualization teams to support ongoing reporting needs and ad hoc visualizations.

  • Tool Enhancement Support: Partner with technical teams to test and improve portfolio tools, ensuring they align with evolving business requirements.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree.

  • 3โ€“5 yearsโ€™ experience in portfolio management (strongly preferred), project management, finance, business operations, or data analytics.

  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally in a dynamic, matrixed environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex datasets into business insights.

  • Proficient in Excel; experience with portfolio management tools (e.g., Sopheon PPM) and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and continuous improvement.

  • Effective communicator comfortable working with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Must-have: Experience in software or digital environments.

  • Nice-to-have: Background in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level portfolio management or large-scale transformation programs.

  • Understanding of enterprise prioritization frameworks and governance models.

  • Knowledge of capacity planning, demand forecasting, and financial modeling.
