We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our nursing department at the Acadiana Area Human Services District/ Dr.

Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.

Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Provides specialized nursing treatment and care to behavioral health outpatient individuals in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, AAHSD policies and procedures, State Civil Service, LDH (as applicable), licensing standards, CCBHC guidelines and criteria and CARE accreditation standards. Performs individualized direct care/care management to individuals that requires training and competence as well as good clinical judgment necessary to assess, plan, and implement appropriate nursing interventions as needed.

Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Job Appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Work Schedule: 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday Location: Tyler Behavioral Health Clinic in Lafayette, LA Career Progression Group: This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG) and may be filled as a Practical Nurse Licensed 1, 2 or 3.

The level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series. The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.
