Job description

Overview: Symbiotic Services is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Manufacturing Floor Supervisor to lead production activities at a high-end furniture manufacturing facility. This role requires strong leadership, a background in manufacturing, and preferably experience in luxury or custom furniture production. Key Responsibilities: Execute daily production schedules while ensuring high-quality standards.

Optimize productivity and minimize overhead and raw material costs. Supervise and coordinate with section leads to meet production goals. Serve as a liaison between management and production staff.

Collaborate with HR on employee retention, training, and capacity planning. Recruit, train, evaluate, and manage team members; implement corrective actions as needed. Enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Recommend and implement cost-reduction and productivity improvement strategies. Oversee the execution of sewing projects and transition them to shipping. Work with Engineering and Product Development to improve manufacturing processes.

Manage manpower and scheduling to align with customer and production needs. Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development. Lead the launch of new or revised products, including training and standards setup.

Utilize statistical methods for process analysis and improvement. Identify and resolve inefficiencies and reduce waste. Monitor production flow and maintain equipment functionality.

Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, including 2+ years in a supervisory role. Experience in luxury/custom furniture manufacturing is highly desirable.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime. Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards. Bilingual candidates are a plus.
