Job description

Vendor Management Inventory Analyst supports sales and buying teams by managing warehouse inventory, demand planning, and promotional forecasting. The role requires daily inventory oversight, collaboration with partners, and data-driven forecasting to keep demand aligned with inventory. This position operates on a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily warehouse inventory, identifying excess, close-dated, or promotional stock not on track to move

  • Review daily store orders 12:45-1:45 PM EST to track demand and allocate inventory

  • Provide weekend coverage or prework pallets on Fridays; handle demand planning coverage for Sundays as requested

  • Forecast promotions and enter weekly bookings, referencing historical data across multiple databases

  • Adjust ad bookings based on current ad performance to avoid gaps or leftover inventory

  • Collaborate daily with C&S Warehouse partner and retailer Winn Dixie to adjust purchase orders and keep demand aligned

  • Participate in weekly calls to review reporting, ad concerns, and other callouts

  • Join biweekly calls with WD Demand Planning and C&S teams for service level discussions

  • Attend alternate Thursday Demand Planning calls to surface concerns or receive business-critical updates

  • Assist D&W sales departmental members as needed

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree required and 3-5 years inventory management, demand planning, or related analyst experience

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; expert Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUP

  • Strong organized data analysis skills with ability to interpret and communicate trends

  • Ability to apply sound business principles and practices to projects

  • Strong communication, priority setting, and time-management skills

  • Attention to detail

Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of internal inventory systems

  • Syndicated data tools a plus

  • CPG industry experience strongly preferred

  • Direct customer presentation experience preferred
