Position Type: Temporary / Contract (estimated 60–90 days)

Position Summary

The Temporary Administrative Technical Writer will support the East Canton facility by organizing, drafting, and maintaining safety program documentation. This role focuses on converting operational and HSE inputs into clear, structured written materials that support compliance, program consistency, and internal documentation needs.

The position is administrative and execution-focused, assisting HSE, Operations, and Maintenance teams with document formatting, organization, and version control.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Safety Program Documentation:
  • Draft and format safety procedures, work instructions, and job aids using provided technical input
  • Convert field notes, meeting outcomes, and corrective action summaries into structured documentation
  • Assist with updating existing safety documentation to improve clarity, consistency, and usability
  • Support creation of simple guidance materials and summaries for site use
  • Document Control & Organization:
  • Maintain organized electronic files for safety documentation within SharePoint, Teams, or designated repositories
  • Apply version control practices and ensure current documents are easily identifiable
  • Support cleanup and standardization of existing documentation libraries
  • Assist with formatting documents for internal review and leadership distribution
  • Administrative Support:
  • Coordinate with HSE, Maintenance, and Operations to gather source information for documentation updates
  • Prepare concise summaries or status updates related to documentation progress
  • Support data entry or administrative updates tied to safety program tracking tools

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • Experience in administrative support, technical writing, or document control
  • Strong writing, editing, and document formatting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
