We are hiring substitutes in Kenyon-Wanamingo School District.  No previous experience is required!

Minimum requirements: 
  • Substitute Teacher – 
Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) Substitute Teaching License OR Tier 3 or 4 Teaching License
If you are not yet licensed but hold a Bachelor’s degree in any subject, you are eligible to apply for licensure! Let us know and we can help connect you with the MDE.
 
  • Substitute Paraeducator – 
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of ParaPro Assessment; OR 60+ college credits; OR Associate’s degree
We are happy to help provide instructions on how to complete the ParaPro assessment if needed.

Responsibilities: 
  • Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies 
  • Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation 
  • For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments 
 
Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher.   
Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher’s aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant or education assistant.
