Our client, a multinational mass media company, is looking for a hands-on Orchestration Engineer on a long-term contract who will embed with their IT team and build net new automated workflows across the entire organization. Day to day this person is writing and inspecting code in Python and JSON, building API-driven integrations across SaaS platforms, and using AI tools to move faster. They also need the soft skills to sit with a non-technical stakeholder, understand how they work, and translate that into an automation solution.

The profile that moves to the front of the line is someone with ITSM experience or a background working alongside a large enterprise IT org and genuine AI curiosity. Years of experience matter less than hands-on technical experience and the right attitude.

Top Skills Details

• Hands-on coding in Python and JSON — must be able to write and inspect code by hand, not just rely on AI to generate it; JavaScript and Node.js are a plus.
• API development and integration — strong understanding of REST APIs, OAuth, and API keys with real experience building integrations across SaaS platforms in an enterprise environment
• Workflow automation and orchestration — experience identifying manual, ticket-based, or repetitive processes and replacing them with automated, event-driven solutions using no-code, low-code, or programmatic tools
• ITSM background or experience supporting an IT organization — understands how IT teams operate, has worked in or alongside a large enterprise IT environment, and thinks about the business as an internal client
• AI tool fluency with a genuine builder mentality — actively uses AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT as part of their daily workflow, gets curious about how systems work, and has built something on their own because they wanted to

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with no-code or low-code automation platforms in addition to hand-coded solutions
• Familiarity with change control and governance practices — particularly working with structured release management
• Ability to manage multiple workflows and priorities simultaneously without losing quality or speed
• Experience creating reusable automation templates or frameworks that others can build on

Workplace Type

Hybrid: 1+ day per week onsite.

There is a strong preference for eligible candidates to work out of New York, but we are open to seeing proficient candidates who can work out of the Los Angeles office as well. Majority of the team sits on the West Coast, so they need additional support on the East Coast.

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
