Job description

Platform Engineer - TEKsystems

We are seeking a Platform Engineer to help build and scale our Kubernetes-based infrastructure. This role is 100% remote and involves designing and implementing cloud-native solutions, managing infrastructure as code, and ensuring observability across systems. You'll work closely with our engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable platforms that support edge computing and CI/CD workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters and related infrastructure.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Collaborate on cloud deployments.
  • Develop and optimize monitoring dashboards.
  • Support edge computing initiatives, including building and shipping container images to distributed environments.
  • Contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, GitHub Actions).
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
  • Cloud expertise (AWS highly preferred; other cloud platforms acceptable).
  • Familiarity with Grafana is a PLUS.
  • Programming experience with Golang or Python.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and event-driven architectures.
  • Exposure to databases (Postgres, DynamoDB) and messaging systems (NATS).
  • Understanding of CI/CD workflows and tools.
