Job Description:
GliaCell is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.
The Work:
  • Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Writing java spring boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologies
  • Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
  • Implement CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps
  • Agile development and delivery of software
  • Communication and collaboration: Software Development is a team-oriented discipline.
  • Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.

Key Requirements:
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
  • Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • An active Top Secret clearance with polygraph (CI within the last 7 years).
  • Professional/Education experience: 9 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree, or 7 years of relevant experience with a master's degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Works well independently as well as on a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Need strong AWS experience
  • Need Java, SpringBoot

Desired Skills (2 or more of the below):
  • Python
  • Microservice architectures
  • CI/CD Tools: AWS tools, Maven, , Gitlab & GitOps; Kubernetes, docker
  • Database : NoSQL / MongoDB Query and Schema Design
  • OAuth/OIDC Implementation experience
  • Test frameworks and automation to include Playwright and Cucumber

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD / Partial Telework (2 days per week is expected)
Note: Telework granted for this position does not become available until after the individual has been in the position for a period of time, has acclimated to tasking/duties, and has meaningful work that can be done remotely. Telework can also be removed at any time.
Salary Range: The salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 to $230,000. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across our projects. Within the range, your salary is determined by your individual benefits package selection. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred position during the hiring process. SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE.
