Lead Salesforce Developer (US)
Location
Role based in Austin, TX
The Opportunity
The Lead Salesforce Developer will serve as the technical expert responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining Salesforce solutions across all BusPatrol teams. This role emphasizes simplicity first, but requires the ability to deliver advanced, complex solutions that meet business needs. The developer will work closely with the Platform Owner and Embedded Admins to bring high-value use cases to life.
Responsibilities
Design & Development
  • Design and build scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flow, applying a low-code-first approach where appropriate.
  • Develop and enhance solutions across Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning (FSL), Revenue Cloud, and core CRM, ensuring scalable and maintainable architecture.
  • Build and optimize contact center solutions, including omnichannel case management, CTI integrations, and agent productivity tools for high-volume environments.
  • Design and deliver Field Service capabilities, including work order management, scheduling optimization, dispatcher workflows, and mobile workforce enablement.
  • Develop custom Salesforce applications and data models with reusable components, strong performance design, and platform governance awareness.
  • Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems (ERP, ITSM, telephony, data platforms) using APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures (Platform Events, CDC).
  • Ensure secure, scalable, and real-time data movement across systems while maintaining performance, reliability, and data consistency.
  • Contribute to AI-driven and agentic automation initiatives, leveraging Einstein, Agentforce, and LLM-based workflows with proper guardrails and human-in-the-loop design.
  • Partner with Embedded Admins and cross-functional teams to provide production support, troubleshooting, enhancements, and continuous platform improvements.
  • Collaborate on technical standards, documentation, CI/CD practices, and architectural decisions, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and well-governed Salesforce delivery.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Salesforce development experience
  • Strong expertise in Apex, LWC, Flow, APIs, and integrations
  • Hands-on experience with Service Cloud and Field Service Lightning (FSL)
  • Experience with contact center systems and omnichannel/CTI integrations
  • Proven ability to build custom applications and scalable Salesforce architectures
  • Experience with event-driven integration patterns and enterprise system connectivity
  • Salesforce certification required: Platform Developer I (Platform Developer II preferred)
  • Familiarity with Einstein, Data Cloud, and Agentforce or equivalent AI capabilities
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization, security, and scalable design principles
  • Ability to balance rapid delivery with long-term architectural sustainability

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Amazon Connect, or similar telephony platforms
  • Exposure to AI/ML-powered service automation or conversational AI systems
