What does a Telecom recruiter do?

A Telecom Recruiter specializes in sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates for positions within the telecommunications industry. They work with companies to understand their staffing needs, create job postings, review resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate the hiring process. Telecom Recruiters may fill roles such as network engineers, project managers, and sales professionals, ensuring that candidates have the technical and industry-specific skills required. They also stay updated on telecom trends and job market conditions to find the best talent efficiently.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a telecom recruiter?

To thrive as a Telecom Recruiter, you need strong knowledge of telecom industry roles, technical terminology, and recruiting strategies, often supported by a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), Boolean search techniques, and networking platforms like LinkedIn is crucial for sourcing candidates efficiently. Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills help build relationships with both clients and candidates. These skills ensure the recruiter can identify top telecom talent quickly, align candidate qualifications with client needs, and contribute to the organization's growth.

What are some common challenges telecom recruiters face when sourcing candidates, and how can they overcome them?

Telecom Recruiters often encounter challenges such as finding candidates with specialized technical skills, keeping up with rapidly evolving industry technologies, and competing with other companies for top talent. To overcome these hurdles, recruiters frequently build strong networks within the telecom sector, stay informed about the latest trends, and leverage advanced sourcing tools and platforms. Effective communication with hiring managers and a clear understanding of job requirements also help ensure that candidates are both qualified and a good fit for the team.

Job description

High-Volume Technical Recruiter - Telecommunications

Who We Are
Established and growing exponentially, Triage Partners is proud to celebrate over 20 years as a national leader in the telecommunications industry. From fiber and cable installation to telecom construction, engineering design, and supply chain solutions, we power the infrastructure that keeps people connected.
We're not slowing down. As demand grows, so does our need for the right talent and that's where you come in.
We offer competitive pay, real growth opportunities, and a team-first culture where your impact is visible every day.
Why Join Us
This isn't your typical recruiting role.
We're looking for someone who thrives on high-volume, high-impact recruiting, someone who knows how to find and attract hard-to-reach technical talent across the country.
As a member of our team, you are:
  • Quality-driven - You deliver candidates who stick and succeed
  • Team-oriented - You collaborate with field leaders and hiring teams
  • Innovative - You don't wait for applicants-you go find them
Position Overview
This role is about building pipelines, not just filling roles.
As a Corporate Recruiter, you'll focus on sourcing and hiring traveling, hard-to-find telecom field talent, including technicians, splicers, and construction crews. You'll leverage social media, partnerships, and creative sourcing strategies to keep up with demand in a fast-moving industry.
This is less about corporate hiring and more about boots-on-the-ground talent that keeps projects moving nationwide.
What You'll Do
  • Drive high-volume recruiting efforts for telecom field positions across multiple markets
  • Source candidates through social media, networking, and industry channels
  • Actively recruit via Facebook, Instagram, X, and other platforms
  • Build and maintain relationships with technical schools, trade programs, and workforce organizations nationwide
  • Develop ongoing talent pipelines for traveling telecom professionals
  • Partner closely with operations and field leadership to meet hiring demands
  • Screen and interview candidates for skills, experience, and travel readiness
  • Manage candidate flow and communication throughout the hiring process
  • Maintain accurate data and reporting in ATS and CRM systems
  • Support and execute recruitment marketing campaigns to attract talent at scale
What You Bring
We're looking for a recruiter who knows how to hunt for talent, not wait for it:
  • 2-5+ years of recruiting experience, with a focus on telecommunications, construction, or skilled trades
  • Proven success in high-volume recruiting for field-based or traveling roles
  • Strong experience with social media recruiting (Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.)
  • Experience building partnerships with technical schools, trade programs, and workforce pipelines across multiple regions
  • Familiarity with recruiting traveling or project-based workforce populations
  • Experience using ATS systems and CRM tools, including reporting and pipeline tracking (Jobvite or similar preferred)
  • Exposure to or experience with recruitment marketing campaigns
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and drive results
What You Get
We invest in our people so they can perform at their best:
  • Competitive compensation
  • Comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Medical & Dependent Care FSA
  • Unlimited PTO + Paid Holidays
  • Employee Referral Program
  • Career growth in a rapidly expanding company
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • A culture that recognizes performance and impact
Make an Impact Where It Matters
If you're a recruiter who thrives on finding the hard-to-find and wants to play a key role in building the workforce behind nationwide telecom projects, we want to hear from you.
Employment with Triage Partners, LLC is contingent upon successful completion of our background check and drug screen process.
Employment Type: Full-Time
