Job Title: Subject Matter Expert, Telco Billing & M&A Integration
Location USA - Remote
Only Fulltime
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep knowledge of telecommunications billing systems and the impacts of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) on those systems. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with both Charter and Cox Communications' billing platforms. This role will be critical in guiding the integration of billing systems and processes, ensuring a seamless transition and mitigating financial and operational risks. This is a client-facing role that requires strong analytical skills, deep technical expertise, and the ability to effectively communicate complex billing concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the lead subject matter expert on all aspects of telco billing for a large-scale M&A integration project.
Analyze and document the existing billing systems, processes, and data flows of both Charter and Cox.
Provide expert guidance on the potential impacts of the M&A transaction on billing, revenue assurance, and customer experience.
Develop and recommend strategies for billing system consolidation, data migration, and process re-engineering.
Collaborate with technical and business teams to design and implement a unified billing solution.
Develop and maintain documentation of the integrated billing solution and decisions that have been made.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with a focus on billing and revenue management.
Proven experience as a subject matter expert in at least one major telco M&A transaction.
Ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both Charter's and Cox's billing systems and processes.
Deep understanding of telco billing principles, including rating, charging, invoicing, and collections.
Familiarity with major billing system vendors and platforms (e.g., Amdocs, Netcracker) is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of identifying and resolving complex billing issues.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
