Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Project Manager to lead and oversee complex telecommunications projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in high-level project management, with a strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, technology, and industry best practices. This individual will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale telecom projects, including network deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and system integrations.
  • Team Management: Direct and coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, technical experts, contractors, and vendors, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main point of contact for key stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and external partners. Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and solutions.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring that projects are completed within financial and operational constraints.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and challenges, develop mitigation strategies, and address issues promptly to keep projects on track.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure projects comply with industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead the negotiation and management of contracts with external vendors, ensuring terms and deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess project management processes, recommending improvements for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the telecom industry, with a focus on high-level management roles and large-scale projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, network design, and deployment methodologies (including fiber optic, wireless, and satellite technologies).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performance teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives, clients, and technical teams.
