Job description

Job Title: Senior Telecom Infrastructure Support Engineer
Overview / Summary
Use your telecom, voice, and infrastructure support experience in a critical operations environment where reliable communications and infrastructure availability are essential.
The Senior Telecom Infrastructure Support Engineer will provide L3 telecom support and L2 support across broader infrastructure domains. This role will manage telecom incidents, support voice and communications infrastructure, coordinate vendors, and help maintain reliable business operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide L3 support for telecommunications systems and voice infrastructure.
  • Support Cisco telecom or similar enterprise telecom environments.
  • Troubleshoot voice, connectivity, cabling, and telecom service issues.
  • Coordinate with telecom carriers, cabling vendors, and infrastructure providers.
  • Support network, desktop, compute, storage, backup, and M365 teams as needed.
  • Monitor telecom and infrastructure reliability.
  • Document telecom configurations, circuits, vendor contacts, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call support.
  • Support internal customers with technical issues and service requests.

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of telecom, infrastructure, network, or systems support experience.
  • Strong L3 telecom support experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Cisco telecom or similar voice platforms.
  • Experience troubleshooting telecom, voice, connectivity, and cabling issues.
  • Experience working with telecom vendors and carriers.
  • General understanding of network, desktop, compute, and infrastructure support.
  • Strong documentation, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Cisco voice/collaboration certification or related telecom certification.
  • Healthcare or 24x7 critical operations experience.
  • Experience with network infrastructure, WAN/LAN connectivity, and monitoring tools.
  • Experience supporting call routing, circuits, cabling, and vendor escalations.
