Job description

The Larson Group Peterbilt is looking for an experienced IT Helpdesk Technician to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibility of the IT Helpdesk Technician is to work collaboratively with Business Systems Manager, Departmental Managers and other operational technology units to achieve dealership operational efficiencies and daily operations up-time.

Provide level one and two user support to correct technical problems assigned by Helpdesk Manager and Business Systems Manager. Assist in maintenance, installation, and upgrades to company-wide system PC software and hardware.

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support for both CDK (automotive dealer management system) and desktop support for all other applications.

  • Documents and monitors problems thoroughly and accurately to ensure a timely resolution.

  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves a high percentage of employee's technical computer-related problems related to CDK and/or DMS Systems

  • Assist Managers with training and coordination of new products, upgrades, and problem areas of dealership operations.

  • Superior customer care skills, interpersonal communication, and excellent oral, written, typing and telephone skills.

  • Working knowledge of Windows desktop software and operating systems.

  • Basic knowledge of network connectivity and cyber security technologies.

  • Familiar with various dealership technologies (eCAT, OEM systems, Point of Sale, Inventory, and reporting/BI)

  • Familiar with reporting systems, business intelligence, databases, and A.I. is a plus

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills a must.

  • Ability to be on call 24x7 on a rotating basis.

  • Excellent skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, and other productivity applications

  • Ability to adapt and learn applications quickly and thoroughly to meet pre-established deadlines.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in business, technology, marketing, accounting, or related disciplines

    OR 2-4 years' experience in a customer support roll in automotive, technical certifications, or relevant combination of education, training, and experience.
