Job description

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Program Manager position focused on ensuring that all system and application deliverables meet the requirements of all DoD and Space Force/Air Force Cybersecurity policies.  

This is a full-time position in Colorado Springs, CO working on-site at Peterson Space Force Base (SFB).


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Individual should have comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD, Air Force, and Space Force.
  • Individual must have knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of acquisition programs.
  • Individual has the knowledge of support activities that assist the PM in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines, be able to recommend viable solutions to problems and the pursuit of alternative courses of action.
  • Individual must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, and plans).
  • Individual shall be able to plan, research, analyze and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production and deployment of weapons systems and associated equipment; formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule and performance objectives.
  • Individual shall be able to support and develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (i.e. DAES and MAR).
  • Individual should be able to support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews and Integrated Master Plan (IMP)/Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reviews.
  • Individual shall be able to support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management. Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews and IMP/IMS reviews.
  • Individual will support implementation and execution of agile software development processes in concert with Government and Prime contractors.

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a DoD Secret level clearance 

Education: High school Diploma

Years of Experience: Minimum two years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, to include five years of DoD experience. 

Certifications: NA

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field

Years of experience: Minimum seven years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, to include five years of DoD experience.

Certifications: PMP

Technical Skills

  • Agile methodology experience

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
