Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The IT Manager I leads cross-functional IT teams and delivers large-scale technology initiatives across multiple workstreams, combining strong leadership with hands-on technical and project management expertise. This role oversees the full lifecycle of projects from requirements gathering through implementation and support while designing and deploying enterprise mobility solutions supporting 10,000 devices using platforms such as SOTI, Intune or other Enterprise Mobility Management solutions.

This role combines people leadership with hands-on technical and project management responsibilities. The position ensures timely execution of projects, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and drives scalable technology solutions that support business growth.

Additionally, the role partners closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technology solutions and collaborates with vendors to deliver enhancements, resolve production issues, and continuously improve platform performance.

The base salary range for this role is $114,300- $195,000. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    Experience with EMM platforms (such as Soti Mobicontrol, Intune, Workspace ONE) with large-scale device rollouts and support in retail or enterprise environments.
    Working experience in enterprise mobile application deployment and management automation.
    Strong knowledge of Android Enterprise and device management best practices.
    Act as a liaison between technical and business teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and advise on solutions. 
    Collaborate with internal and external IT teams to improve processes and maintain service stability through adherence to standards and documentation. 
    Lead development of content and present to senior leadership. 
    Analyze and leverage new and existing technologies to meet business needs and drive enhancements. 
    Manage projects through the full SDLC, ensuring accurate requirements, efficient execution, and timely delivery. 
    Create and manage detailed project plans, resources, budget and timelines; oversee testing, communication, training, and support plans. 
    Ensure accurate documentation and achievement of business benefits within budget and schedule. 
    Collaborate on large projects, performing design reviews, analysis, and testing. 
    Plan and communicate release and deployment strategies with stakeholders. 
    Support production systems and coordinate enhancements; prioritize issues and requests. 
    Lead and mentor IT team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvement. 
    Oversee multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with business requirements and governance standards. 
    Proactively plan for future needs and mitigate risks. 
    Apply foundational understanding of application behavior at network and system levels.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
    7 to 10 years' experience supporting retail systems or IT management consulting experience. Solid understanding of retail dynamics within a complex, highly integrated environment.
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in information systems, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
    Technical orientation balanced by project management discipline. 
    Demonstrated track record managing technical application projects.
    Able to articulate issues, build consensus around recommendations, define next steps along with defined timeline.
    Experience implementing and/or supporting hardware and packaged solutions.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and forward thinking.
    Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; outstanding listening skills.
    Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization (i.e. Business Users).
    Outstanding work ethic; displays a high sense of urgency to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience in retail industry and delivering applications in retail environments.
    Experience with client/server hardware and software and understanding of network components.
    Experience dealing with cross-functional teams and business partners on projects.
    Hands-on experience with enterprise mobile apps deployment, integration with backend systems, and ensuring security/compliance for mobile solutions. 
    Experience with end user mobile productivity and mobile technology enablement.
    Vendor Management experience.

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. 
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc. 
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.  
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
