The role: IT Director

The IT Director oversees the corporate Information Technology Department and leads the organization's technology and artificial intelligence strategy. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for people, systems, and innovation, ensuring that technology supports business goals securely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has proven experience applying AI and automation to improve processes, managing enterprise systems, and maintaining robust cybersecurity and data governance programs.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Develops and executes a multi-year technology and AI roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Evaluates and implements emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics, to enhance productivity and decision-making.
  • Oversees ERP systems and ensures integration with company workflows, data analytics, and reporting tools.
  • Establishes data governance, privacy, and ethical AI standards in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides executives with insights and predictive analytics for operational and strategic planning.
  • Manages IT budgets, vendor relationships, and technology contracts to ensure cost-effective solutions.

People & Collaboration

  • Leads and mentors the IT team, developing skills in AI tools, ERP administration, and cybersecurity.
  • Fosters a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and responsible use of technology.
  • Collaborates with leadership and department heads to align technology initiatives with business needs.
  • Designs and delivers employee training on secure and efficient use of technology.

Systems & Security

  • Oversees all IT infrastructure and systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and data protection.
  • Leads implementation and optimization of ERP systems and AI-powered automation to streamline operations.
  • Develops and maintains cybersecurity, backup, and disaster recovery programs.
  • Manages IT onboarding, offboarding, equipment procurement, and asset tracking with strong data security controls.
  • Ensures reliability of office infrastructure including cloud services, VoIP, AV conferencing, SaaS, CRM, ISPs, and network management.
  • Continuously improves system performance and risk mitigation.

Education/Experience

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP, Azure AI Engineer, PMP) preferred.
